My only complaint about the facility was that we called early in the week and asked to reserve a cart for our arrival. We were travelling with my grandmother, who can't walk long distances or on steep inclines or lots of steps, so we needed a cart. One nice thing that they offer is golf carts for rent for those who can't or don't want to walk around the whole park. However, we were late getting there, and around the time we finished our cave tour, a storm popped up and brought flooding rain. We did not see everything, so it would have been nice to have another hour or so to finish up. The cave was not incredibly impressive, but it was a nice, cool respite from the heat. The tour guide was fantastic, and it was neat to see his dog taking the cave tour with us. The ticket to Kentucky Down Under also includes a tour of the Mammoth-Onyx Cave. There is also an area which houses dingos. They also have other areas which have sheep (complete with herding dogs), draft horses, donkey, chickens, fainting goats, and bison. There is also an animal show which they do during the course of the day in which they show a few different animals and give information about them, including what they eat and where they are found. There, they have cages with a variety of exotic birds from around the world. In addition to the kangaroos, we really enjoyed the Bird Garden. We had a wonderful guide, who gave us a great deal of information about all of the animals in the enclosure, and it was lots of fun to get to feed and pet the kangaroos. The kangaroo enclosure was fully worth the the trip. We visited Kentucky Down Under with our kids and the grandparents.
